The Historic Winslow House, Marshfield, MA Projects

The Winslow House was originally constructed in the early 18th century by Isaac Winslow, grandson of Mayflower Pilgrim Edward Winslow and was occupied by subsequent Winslow generations until its sale in the early 19th century. Thereafter is was occupied by tenants and one owner-occupant until its purchase by the present Winslow House Association in the early 20th century, which maintains the estate as an historic property most recently granted National Register of Historic Places status. The Association was awarded funding to install permanent repairs to the drainage systems around the house, including extensive drainage trenches adjacent to the foundation walls. Prior to this installation, the Association sought to identify the potential impacts to archaeological resources through the services provided by the Fiske Center.
